The stud finder's intelligent microprocessor chip, with high sensitivity and an advanced self-calibration system, adapts to different wall materials for increased accuracy, allowing you to quickly locate metal, wood, studs, joists, pipes or live AC wires hidden in walls, floors and ceilings. This helps you find the exact location when installing TVs, cabinets, garage shelving and more.

Equipped with 5 scanning modes, the stud detector can locate the center and edges of wood, metal, beams, joists, or deeply embedded objects using the 3/4" and 1-1/2" scan modes. The Metal Scan Mode detects metal up to a depth of 2.36 inches, while the AC Scan Mode detects electrically live, unshielded AC wires up to a depth of 2 inches.

The stud finder's automatic calibration feature allows for easy setup. Simply place the wood detector wall scanner flat against a wall, turn on the power button, and press the "Scan" button to begin calibration. Calibration is complete when the "tick" sounds and the screen display disappears.

The user-friendly design of the stud finder includes audible warnings and directional arrows displayed on the LCD screen. A signal bar on the display provides real-time alerts about the proximity and direction of approaching objects, while beeps enable precise position identification. The backlit LCD display ensures optimal visibility even in low light conditions.
