The Mecurate Stud Finder is a versatile and accurate wall scanner equipped with a sophisticated self-calibration system that adapts to different wall materials, resulting in enhanced reliability and precision. This feature facilitates the rapid detection of hidden metal, wood, or electrical wiring in walls, floors, and ceilings, enabling users to pinpoint exact locations for installing various fixtures and fittings.

The stud finder is designed with 5 scanning modes, each tailored to specific applications. Among these modes are the 3/4" and 1-1/2" scanning mode, engineered to identify the center and edge of woods, beams, joists, metals, and deeply embedded objects. The metal scanning mode is designed to detect both ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Additionally, an audible alert buzzer mode is provided to signal the detection of a stud or other object.

Featuring a range of user-friendly features, the stud finder includes audible warnings and a directional arrow displayed on its LCD screen. The signal bar on the LCD display provides users with real-time alerts regarding the proximity and direction of approaching objects, while a beeping sound enables precise location identification. It is important to note that the STUD mode on the wall scanner is only suitable for dry wall, wooden board, and interior walls. New walls might take a week or longer time to dry after being painted. Additionally, sensing depth and accuracy may vary depending on humidity, material content, wall texture, and oil paint. Certain materials, such as ceramic floor, tile carpet, packed slat, foam-covered insulating board, glass, or cement brickwork, are not suitable for scanning.

In AC mode, if the wire is more than 51MM away from the scanning surface, in concrete, wrapped in a pipe, behind a plywood shear wall or metal wall, in the environment or in the presence of moisture on the scanning surface, the AC wire may not be detected.
